Self‑taught programmer since 1999, Chris leads GridPlay with a hands‑on approach to scripting, infrastructure, and business strategy. His journey began in Second Life, where he built immersive roleplay environments and technical tools for virtual communities.
Our Journey
2017 – RTCSL & SLDA
Started Rail & Train Center in Second Life with Sweetdebbie. Built the first WebMap Position System. Founded SLDA (Debbie’s Airport) and acquired land for immersive roleplay.
2018 – GridPlay.net & VenTalkie
Expanded into tools and services for Second Life roleplay. Registered the GridPlay.net domain and launched VenTalkie for in‑world communication.
2022 – Sole Proprietorship
GridPlay Productions officially registered in Ontario, Canada. Focus shifted to scalable roleplay tools and infrastructure.
2024 – Network Integration
Revamped all SL‑based services to work seamlessly together using GPaONE as the unified account system. Introduced GridPay4 as a fictional currency for roleplay (no real‑world value).
2025 – Rework
Rebuilt the account system to be more secure and SL‑only. The API was redesigned and moved internal for improved reliability and privacy.
