From virtual railroads to privacy-first infrastructure
Founder & CEO
Self-taught programmer since 1999, Chris leads GridPlay with a hands-on approach to scripting, infrastructure, and business strategy. His journey began in SecondLife, where he built immersive roleplay environments and technical tools for virtual communities.
Started Rail & Train Center in SecondLife with Sweetdebbie. Built the first WebMap Position System. Founded SLDA (Debbie’s Airport) and acquired land for immersive roleplay.
Expanded into tools and services for SecondLife roleplay. Registered the GridPlay.net domain and launched VenTalkie for in-world communication.
GridPlay Productions officially registered in Ontario, Canada. Focus shifted to scalable roleplay tools and infrastructure.
Revamped all SL-based services to work seamlessly together using GPaONE as the unified account system. Introduced GridPay4 as a fictional currency for roleplay (no real-world value).
GridPlay now builds privacy-first websites, virtual world tools, and game infrastructure — all proudly Canadian.
